The PANDA® is composed of:
A striking head, equipped with a sensor to measure the energy at each impact
A central acquisition unit, equipped with a sensor to measure the depression
A dialogue terminal recording all the data, equipped with a GPS for the geolocation of the surveys and a screen for an instantaneous reading of the data
A calibrated driving hammer
Data acquisition is automatic. At each beating are calculated

The operator can adapt his threshing energy according to the resistance of the ground encountered.
The obtained penetrograms are compared with reference lines established according to the class of the tested material and the required compaction quality. Any anomalies are automatically calculated in accordance with the NF P 94-105 standard.
The PANDA® is the most sold dynamic cone penetrometer in compaction control.
The interpretation of the penetrographs is the responsibility of the geotechnical engineer who will be able to estimate the bearing capacity of the soil but also to establish correlations with other geotechnical tools (SPT, CPT, CBR, etc.).
Its use is in accordance with the NF EN ISO 22476-2 standard for soil investigation.
The Websprint online application allows to create geological sections and to compare them with the penetrographs obtained with the PANDA®.
