The project involves the restoration and reinforcement of the banks of the old Bièvre river bed in the municipality of AOSTE (38). M3S® honeycomb layers were backfilled with clay materials from the site, to reconstitute and reinforce the banks, which had suffered significant deep-seated deterioration.
To control the compaction quality of this type of material, 25cm high honeycomb sheets (instead of the usual 35cm) were used.
The outer face of the embankment (on the water side) is made up of a traditional fascine+planted earth+coco fabric complex that has been planted.
