In the mining sector, operational control of tailings dams is essential to guarantee their structural and environmental stability.
For many years, Sol Solution has been developing innovative, eco-responsible and cost-effective techniques to optimise the storage of mine tailings, while at the same time increasing the level of requirements.
Sol Solution will be taking part in the “1st Simposio Internacional sobre Depósitos de Jales“, to be held in Chihuahua, Mexico, from 13 to 15 March 2024.
At the conference, Miguel Angel Benz Navarrete will present the methodology developed (Operational QA/QC of tailings dams using the French instrumented dynamic cone penetrometer P.A.N.D. A®), the result of research carried out with Gabriel Villavicencio Arancibia (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso), Luc Teissier (Sol Solution), Enrique Ibarra Razo (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México/ Ingeum Ingeniería) and Pierre BREUL (Polytech Clermont).
Miguel and Luc will be on stand 12 throughout the event to discuss the methods and equipment (Panda®, Pandoscope®, Grizzly®, e-Kodiak®) used to optimise risk management, as well as the Websprint© platform for securing, using and modelling geotechnical data.
