Sol Solution will be represented by Sébastien Barbier (R&D Account Executive) at Railways Conference 2018, dedicated to the research, development and maintenance of railway technologies.
It will present a new methodology for characterizing railways using light and low-cost tests.
This method is based on the use of PANDA® dynamic penetration tests and geoendoscopy (Pandoscope®). Image analysis is then performed on the geoendoscopic data to determine the particle size distribution of the ballast. This process makes it possible to characterize the physical and mechanical behaviour of the ballasted structure of the railway track.
In situ physical and mechanical characterization of railway substructures with Pandoscope® and image analysis process
Presented by Sébastien Barbier on September 4, 2018, from 09:15 to 09:30.
